We want to send a huge thanks to everyone who came out to the CD release party! We hope you enjoy the free CD (nobody else gets a free one). The night started out awesome with a shred-fest: first a guitar group, then an extremely talented bass soloist whose playing was reminiscent of Vic Wooten. Then came the ultimate downer - a "heavy" metal "trio" with an army of backing tracks for "their" songs. (If you don't do sarcasm, it was a cover band that played with pre-recorded instrument tracks. Kind of like karaoke for big boys.) They played forever - at least 30 minutes into our set time, and only relinquished control of the stage when they had driven 75% of the audience away from the club. Money Shot prevailed, and brought the energy level back with an electrified set. No backing tracks, no gimmicks. May THE SHOCKER live in infamy!
